I am staying at my daughter’s house temporarily while I look for a house here. Not a bad arrangement, really. So her spare bedroom has become my temporary domain. Above the bed I am watched over by lions, giraffes and elephants.
They are my guardian spirits, watching over me as I sleep, protecting me from the evils my mind creates at night. It actually seems to be true. All my life, the majority of my dreams have been nightmares. In one fashion after another, the flesh has been rent from my bones, my limbs torn from me, teeth have sunk deep within and pulled great gouges of red meat from my bod
